Unfortunately this was a rather static episode. Jamshed arrives in the US and his Mamu takes him to Javed’s apartment to stay at. Lies and says mami is renovating the bathroom. Realities of US hits Jamshed when he sleeps on the floor. He also finds out the reality of Imran Mamu and his cab company. When Kathy finally forgives Imran and he convinces her to let Jamshed stay with them (for only a couple of days) he also sees the complete disconnect in the family.
For some really odd reason, Bhatti takes Jamshed to Alya’s beauty parlour for an unnecessary haircut and when he refuses, is made to get a facial…what? Seemed like it was a setup to meet Salma and for the audience to find out she has a daughter, but it all seemed really made up.
On the Michelle and Rizwan front, Michelle is having issues with ‘Desis’ again…she rented a room out to one person specifically and he/she ended up with guests.Valid point, but why rent to desis when you hate them? Again, I don’t get it…so she had one bad marital experience with a desi, but she herself is a desi, her best friend is a desi, she runs a desi restaurant and rents to desi…so what is with all the hate towards them? It would make sense if instead of a desi restaurant she ran a flower shop and had all non-desi friends, but its nothing like that. Its completely inconceivable. Khaire, Rizwan makes VP and on his birthday proposes to Michelle. We already knew she would reject him but thanks to next week’s preview, it is 100% confirmed that he was rejected.
Like I said, pretty static (and quite predictable) episode…the spoilers are not helping at all. The spoilers, coupled with what seems to be another serial where the writers are made to extend the episodes for the sake of profits is ruining what could have been a flawless serial We saw this with Pyaare Afzal, Zindagi Gulzar hai, Numm, Eik Nayee Cinderella, and so many other dramas. At some point, channels and production houses have got to stop ruining serials for the audience. By continuing their tactics, they are not only destroying the vision of the writers and directors, but also the experience for the audience. When the writer, director, and actors do complete justice with their parts, then it is the job of channels and producers to do theirs and stop meddling!
