\” Chut Mangni…Putt Biyah \” this is what happened in Ishq Parast. Hamza ka rishta aaya aur Zohaib aur Khala nay sirf 2 mulaqaatoon main hi shadi ki tareekh day di.
I am frustrated at the new twists and turns that are introduced in the drama. Like I said earlier, it was going so well, a nice drama with so many sweet and positive characters and the least amount of Rona dhona, pata nahi kis ki nazar lug gaie aur writer Sahab nay Star Plus say mutasir ho ker story main ageeb o gareeb qisam k twists daal deyay. Granted our writers are under pressure and they have to write 20 something or 30 episodes, so they have to lengthen the story but why o why this \” ghar Damad \” wala twist ?
In 1.5 months, both Zohaib and Arsala got married. Despite being a mature man Zohaib is making decisions which do not go with his character. Dua was so right when she urged him to inquire about Hamza but Zohaib brushed it off by saying \” Us nay apnay baray main khud hi sub kuch baat deya hai \”. When your only sister is getting married and you are also so concerned about doing the right thing cause you know you are acting in place of not just the older brother but also the parents then you should take pains at getting to know everything about the guy you are marrying her off with. He did however think it was strange when Hamza\’s step father merely hinted that he was surprised when he found out that Hamza was getting married since he never thought anyone would wish to marry off their daughter with this guy . Too little too, late.
This week we mostly got to see Dua suffer in silence. She knows only too well what the future holds for her family and since her father has a heart condition, she is not even able to ask him for help. I do feel she should have told Zohaib the truth cause now she has put Arsala in a very difficult position. Zohaib would have understood earlier and would have convinced Arsala and Khala to reject this proposal but now if and when Arsala gets hurt, he will definitely be angry. When he finds out the entire truth, then he might not be so reasonable and level headed.
Poor Pasha Sahab, finally when he and Dua were on good terms again, he found out about his heart condition and now he is told, he has to go for surgery. He is refusing cause he dosen\’t want Dua to recall the lies he had told her earlier about his heart condition but I am surprised at how easily his wife accepted his wish. When someone is told by the doctor to go for surgery because of your heart\’s weak condition, it\’s not something you can take lightly, it\’s life threatening. How come his wife didn\’t try to convince him otherwise ? I have said it before and I am saying it again, love him or hate him ( now a days we are not getting any reasons to hate him :) ) Pasha Sahab is a dur-andaish, sensible man. When told that Hamza is gonna become \” Ghar Damad \”, he wasn\’t in favor of the idea and wanted to talk to Zohaib about it. The conversations these two husband and wife have are reasonable and beleavable, this is how a married couple acts like. Pasha Sahab and his wife are the two people who actually talk sense, they are adults and they do behave like it, I wish I could say the same for Arsala ki Khala and Humza ki mummy.
Ok I am unable to understand why Dua keeps on answering Hamza\’s phone calls. I am also unable to understand why she dosent realize she is living in the age of technology ? She can easily record Hamza\’s calls and hand them over to Zohaib. I am sure once he gets to hear what Hamza wants, Dua would not have a hard time explaining her position.
And finally Arsala and Hamza are married and it was on the actual wedding day when both Rida and Asad found out about Hamza\’s planning. Alas, it was too late and they couldn\’t do anything about it now.
The drama still has very good performances to offer and the dialogues are also a plus point. Even if the story is not headed in a direction I am too excited about, still it\’s a good watch on Thursday nights. So let\’s wait till next week and see how Dua\’s tough time starts.
Do share your thoughts about this play :)
