This drama is taking a Star Plus turn and it\’s a shame since it started off so well. Hamza is bent upon making Dua miserable. In his head, he is justifying his actions by giving his own self a dose of self pity every now and then and painting himself as the victim. So, how does his self-proclaimed victim avenge himself ? Simple, by destroying innocent, sincere peoples lives.
Khala is unbelievable. What is wrong with this woman ? Arsala has met this guy whose name she doesn\’t even know and less than a month after the meeting Khala is giving him tips on how to impress Arsala. This is just beyond weird, who does that ? If she knew Hamza and he was the most eligible bachelor in town and then she acted like this, it would have made sense but under the circumstances for all she knows, Hamza could be on \” the most wanted \” list, he could be a psycho, a gold digger, already married with 6 kids, need I go on ? He has already told her that he lost his job but she is just so cool with everything.
Zohaib is the mature, sensible one in the family but he didn\’t even ask the most simple and obvious questions like \” why did you leave your job \”, \” kis k reference say yeah loag aayay hain \”, etc. Rather, he is already more then willing to give the guy his sister\’s hand in marriage, invite him to Move in with them and offer him a job or a partnership in his business. Love him or hate him but right now I just wish Zohaib would have an epiphany and go and consult Saif Pasha about this proposal. Pasha Sahab might not be the coolest daddy on TV right now but he was the one who saved his daughter from making the biggest mistake of her life by not allowing her to marry Humza. I am sure, he would do the same for Arsala since nobody in her own family is thinking straight.
I said this drama is taking a Star Plus turn, well in how many households do people marry their daughters off and say \” hey, why don\’t you move in with us ? \”. They are not concerned with Humza being from a broken family, his joblessness, no knowledge about who he is, his character etc etc. This drama has been such a good watch up till now but I have a feeling in the coming episodes it would be reduced to a psycho Hamza constantly stalking Dua and turning her inlaws against her. That would not be fun to watch. If he moves in with them then it would be \” psychological torture time around the clock \” for Dua and ruin \” Zohaib\’s business \” by day.
My favorite scene was the one where father and daughter made up. The dialogues, expressions, body language were all just spot on. Waseem Abbas is a veteran and it showed in that scene, Pasha Sahab may not like to admit his love for his daughter and his wife openly but in that scene he just let his guard down and it was fabulous to watch the bond which these two share.
Overall this episode was fun to watch if we take out the irrational behavior which everyone showed about Humza ka rishta. Arsala is Arsala, her dialogues are always very well written. She looked gorgeous in that white ( or cream color ) dress and Zohaib\’s reaction at seeing her in that outfit was so cute. The poor guy couldn\’t control his laughter. All the brother sister scenes were done fabulously well. Zohaib wants what\’s best for his sister but the first thing he wants to know is if she is happy with the marriage proposal. That \” bhai-baihn \” session was brief but still touching. Honestly, I would hate to see Hamza enter this family. These guys are just so sweet and good natured people, I wouldn\’t want to see any of them get hurt.
Now the big question on everybody\’s mind is \” will she or won\’t she \” tell the truth. Dua is clearly shaken at this sudden development and she is trying to protect herself and her new family but she is so unsure about what to do. On one hand, Hamza has left no doubt in her mind that he is only marrying Arsala to make Dua pay ; so she knows she is in trouble . On the other hand, for some reason beyond my comprehension Hamza has become an instant favorite with everyone. So, if she speaks the truth, she dosen\’t know what to expect, Zohaib knows a little bit about her past but Khala and Arsala don\’t and they may not be as generous, kind and understanding as Zohaib. If however, Dua stays quiet, the entire family\’s happiness will be at stake. I feel sorry for her, she made one mistake by falling for the wrong guy and now she is in a really difficult position.
I am wishing Dua would spill the beans but I have a felling she will do no such thing. So just hoping this drama will not become too depressing to watch in the weeks to come cause I do not have the stamina to put up with psychos/weirdos and perverts torturing and abusing women, if that happens sitting through and reviewing It would not be easy.
