The first part of the episode seemed rushed, I mean in first scene, Zafar and Abida have agreed to marry Aamir to Rania. In the next scene, Abida and Rania are still at loggerheads and in the next scene we witness Rania and Aamir’s suhaag raat. Amidst all this, I found the suhaag raat part very cute because of Aamir, he seemed so excited, he made sure he properly bolted the door and shut the windows. Aamir has got to be the sweetest husband ever, I hope Rania realizes his worth because till now she is using him due to her animosity with Abida. Actually all Rania needs to do is grow up and start behaving maturely. Abida needs to do latter.
So far I have found Javed Sheikh’s character very interesting since earlier we thought he wanted to marry Rabia but now the cat is out of the bag and it’s his son whom he wants Rabia to get married to. I dunno why but I have this feeling that his son is either mentally unfit or physically impaired, I found the way in which he informed and not even politely ask her about visiting her place to ask her hand in marriage surprising because it was so abrupt.
One thing that has been nicely shown is that we live in a patriarchal society and no matter what a woman has to have a man in her life to sustain because no she cannot live alone happily. She has to fulfill everyone’s expectations, she has to bow down before the society, actually let alone the society the relatives are enough to make you feel bad about yourself. Since Rabia couldn’t get married it’s her fault, right? It is always a girl’s fault, so as a face saving measure she has to sacrifice her happiness for her family and of course the society. I wasn’t surprised when Abida pressed Bajjo and Zafar to accept Principal saab’s rishta for Rabia and Rania’s behavior was so immature, thankfully Aamir didn’t act foolish and gave wrong advice to his cousin.
Mehreen Raheel and Mawra Hocane were just about okay in the episode. Abbas Agha Ali was fantastic as Aamir, he is such a cute husband, I feel sorry for him because he doesn’t deserve a wife like Rania. Direction was good. Looking forward to the next week’s episode because I would like to see how everyone reacts when they will find out that Principal saab is asking Rabia’s hand in marriage for his son and not himself.
