As always Feroz and Sajjal were impressive as Adeel and GR. Throughout these 20 weeks, no matter how bad things got, their performances and chemistry was the most important aspect of this drama. So now Adeel is completely dependent on others to fulfill his needs and that makes GR indispensable. The point that keeps coming to my mind is, Adeel is bedridden, he has all the time in the world to think about how he has led his life, he has started to explore the possibility of Karma and yes, he is also questioning the fact ” what did he ever do to deserve this kind of punishment “. Maybe after some much needed soul searching, he will finally realize the mistakes he has made, lives he has ruined and people he has hurt. I am very much interested in seeing how will the writer justify the end ( which I am beginning to think will be GR forgiving Adeel and both of them starting a new chapter together).
Yes, GR is his wife and it is upto her whether she chooses to forgive Adeel or not but I don’t see how the writer is gonna be able to pull this one off. How will Adeel redeem himself and is it even possible ? Also in the process will GR still pursue her dreams or will she give up everything to become Mrs.Adeel Kamal ? That is what I am waiting to see.
The writer is trying to make Adeel realize all his inhibitions towards GR were baseless, first Umer later Ashar came to him, just to convince him that their relationship with GR was not what he had imagined. Only time will tell if Adeel will take their advice but it would have been better if the writer had let Adeel come to that conclusion by himself, why does he need testimonies ? Ashar Bhai’s conversation is understandable, he is GR’s cousin and has feelings for her, he is gonna die soon so he wants to clear her name but what was the point of bringing Umer into that scenario ? Adeel dosen’t know him and vice verse, then why would he interfere in a stranger’s business, specially when he dosen’t know what is actually going on between GR and her husband.
Adeel’s declaration of love wasn’t convincing. He still dosen’t get it does he ? Forcing someone into marrying you is WRONG and also when he was talking to Ashar, the way he said ” GR abhi tak mayray nikkah main hai “, that was a jhalak of the old Adeel we all knew and hated. So it remains to be seen, if Adeel is indeed a changed man or if he will resort to his old ways as soon as he gets back on his feet.
So Ashar is dead, his death and suffering was dragged, in the end we knew what was coming and impact his demise could have had two weeks ago, was just lost. I am not sure if his death was necessary . He could have played his part in bringing GR and Adeel closer ( if that was his sole purpose in life ) and still live, why did he have to die, just to put Adeel’s fears to rest ? With him gone, GR has lost another pillar of support, she will no doubt be devastated but I do hope they donot use this one point to drag the story, as they have already settled most problems and in 2 more episodes, they can easily wrap things up.
I do not like how the writer keeps making most of the characters appear and disappear at will, like its a magic show and not a drama. Where were all the characters in this episode ? Why do they have to randomly appear and disappear? We have no clue what happened to Maria and where is Aashir’s mother, along with Adeel and GR’s families ? The whole Maria episode was very poorly handled, that could have proved to be a major twist in the story, it started off well but then …nothing.
