For three weeks I have been postponing this review, in hopes that something interesting will happen next week and I will finally get something to discuss. In these three episodes the writer has introduced every twist and turn she could think of to stretch the story. Here is a brief summary of what has happened, Sir M changed his mind and decided to not go ahead with ” I want to leave Farwa for Surriya ” twist, Googi being absolutely confused about who he really loves Farwa or Silky, Silky telling Googi she loves him and then she doing everything in her power to push him towards Farwa, Surriyya making one last desperate attempt at regaining her lost love ( Sir M ), Farwa leaving Sir M’s home and moving in with her parents where her parents are as usual their confused selves. One moment they believe her story, the next they are siding with Sir M. Then enters Aasma once again, takay is confusion aur chaos main rahi sahi kasar poori Ki Ja sakay.
So after three weeks, there were few things that I felt could be discussed. Here they are. Silky told Googi how she felt for him but by the time she got home, she wasn’t so sure if that was a good idea. Also she wasn’t sure how Googi felt for her, so when Mrs. Saeed came to her house investigating about Googi and his intentions towards Farwa, Silky told her the plain simple truth. She could have manipulated the situation to her and her sister’s benefit but she didn’t. The writer proved a point here; Silky is a good girl who is sincere, so when the writer changes the story to facilitate Googi and Silky’s Union, the viewers shouldn’t feel bad for Farwa and shouldn’t judge either Googi or Silky.
Sir M is in love…he loves Farwa and is behaving like a crazy person. I am so confused about his motives. Everything was going according to plan, then he decided not to go with the plan and when Farwa invited Surriyya at their home to show her mother that her husband was interested in Surriya and not her; Sir M totally changed his story. Later when Saeed Sahab came, he gave him a completely different version of what he was suppose to do, telling them the truth about Farwa’s intentions. Later on in the 19th episode, again he was helping Googi prepare for his meeting with Mr and Mrs. Saeed. Master Sahab, please decide once and for all what do you want ? Now he is sulking and I am sorry it is no fun watching a middle age guy, who is so accomplished and qualified wearing PJs and just sitting there missing his wife, wiping his tears . His dialogues are becoming very boring, I can’t blame Farwa if she dosen’t find him interesting.
So Googi has changed into a complete ” Thaali ka baingan “. He will leave Farwa alone in the rain to go and spend time with Silky but when that dosen’t work out, he quickly changes his loyalties once again from Silky to Farwa. If he is so confused, then the best thing to do is take some time out, sit down and evaluate everything from A to Z. His shilly shally ways have made things a lot harder for Farwa, who was acting on his advice when she married Sir M and everything that followed was also his idea. Either he is extremely selfish or once again the writer is trying to convince us, Sir M is the better choice for Farwa and as we know ” achi larkeyaan divorce Nahi layteen “. So Farwa should totally ditch him and go back to her lawfully wedded husband.
Last week Jawaid ( Surriya’s Husband ) was introduced in the story. I loved his scene with Googi’s friend, that was funny and again when a very confident and self-assured Aasma Ghaznavi came to manipulate Jawaid, his reaction totally bewildered her and for once she ran for her life :) totally loved that too. I was so hoping to see some more fun stuff Lakin yeah na thee hamari qismat and Sir M decided to be an absolute ” kill joy ” and told Surriya to go back and patch things up with Jawaid which by next week, they will. Bye bye fun and laughter.
Mrs. Saeed had started taking Farwa’s side after meeting Silky and after their meeting with Googi, things were looking really good for Farwa but alas ; Googi realized soon after that meeting that he wasn’t comfortable with Farwa’s family and he wanted to be with Silky. If that wasn’t bad enough, Aasma Ghaznavi took it upon herself to wreck any chances Googi and Farwa had of being together. I know she only thinks of herself and she is only taking this scenario as another opportunity to prove herself and earn some points but still asking her husband to go to Googi and stain Farwa’s reputation was such a dirty tactic. Why can’t she play fair ? It’s a good thing Junaid is not a completely spineless guy and he decided to do the right thing, although it didn’t improve things for Farwa.
The highlight of the 19th episode was Googi’s meeting with Farwa’s parents. It was a complete transformation, like a Cinderella story. His accent, body language, vocabulary everything was so refined and classy, Farwa’s parents couldn’t believe their luck. No matter how uncomfortable his clothes were, Googi nailed it. But unfortunately as soon as the clock struck midnight, the spell was over and Googi was his old self again and he decided to stay that way. He is trying to find ways to annoy Farwa so much that she herself would leave him, the teasing and taunting with regard to Sir M, insulting her family and questioning their morals about meeting their daughter’s future husband when she was already married might have made sense, only if he himself wasn’t the mastermind behind all this.
By the look of things it is safe to say that everybody is gonna get their ” happy ending ” and Farwa will be forced ( by the writer ) to go back to Sir M’s house. After Googi sabotages their case, her parents won’t allow her to divorce Sir M and she will be out of options. A very clichéd ending if you ask me. Let’s see if they can surprise us with a different ending and also lets hope the next episode is the last one, cause honestly I can’t think of anymore twists that can be introduced to the story without stretching it further.
