Farwa Ki ABC…Episode 13 & 14

The main developments in these two episodes were Surriya Anjum’s entry at “Tootay Ki Naak Walay Sir’s Home “, ” Silky’s Growing Influence in Googi’s life ” and ” Farwa becoming more at ease with Master Sahab “.

Surriya Anjum is a desperate woman, her husband left her and now she is trying to get back with Sir M.  The fact that he is married, isn’t relevant to her, she isn’t leaving any doubts in Sir. M’s mind about her intentions towards him. The touching, the double meaning dialogues, the way she kept repeating the fact that she knew why he traced her and got Silky a job was solely out of his concern for her. Sir M on the other hand has made it clear that he is married and the feelings he had in the past for her are no longer there. I am still wondering though, if he can stand by his resolve .

I have been under the impression that Googi and Farwa have been using Master Sahab and he is merely facilitating their plans but now I am not so sure. Master Sahab is up to something, he got Silky to tutor Googi, he got Tanveer a job at Googi’s ( getting in Farwa’s good books and planting a spy both at the same time ), Farwa is trusting him more and more and gradually I think he will be able to convince both Farwa and Googi to part ways amicably.

However, Googi and Farwa have got plans of their own. They are playing match makers; in Googi’s words ” ager Sir Ki shadi Surriya say ho jay, to un ka aihsaan bhe Utar jay ga aur ager Sir Ki Khuraak achi ho g to dono mian biwi kush bhe rahain gay “. Now I am interested in seeing who will plan better, execute their plan quicker and will get results sooner.

Silky is playing it very smart and I have a feeling that is why Sir M hired her in the first place. She is teaching Googi, grooming him but at the same time she is making him doubt his relationship with Farwa. She is subtle and patient, she is gradually creating doubt in Googi’s mind. Up till now Googi has been defensive, he is still sure what he and Farwa has is love but he is testing it…now that’s a sign of things to come.

Saeed Sahab and his begum are still very annoying parents. Farwa told her mother that Sir M is interested in another woman, her parents were a bit worried but Saeed Sahab was quick to brush it off. We also found out that Saeed Sahab had always told his begum to not love Farwa too much cause that would spoil her…these parents are in need of some serious parental advice and counseling. They are always quick to critique but too hesitant to show their affection.

Time is passing by, Googi has had some 50 sessions with Silky, Farwa is more at ease with Sir M…they are hanging out, she is wearing RED frequently, asking his permission before going out to meet Googi and is trusting him. Even asking for reassurances when her ego is bruised, I am not sure even she is aware of the influence he has in her life by now.

Although the pace has slowed down a bit but Googi keeps us entertained week after week. This character alone has been sketched so brilliantly by Amna Mufti that there is never a dull moment when he is on screen. Performances are still going strong and the dialogues are simply superb…so waiting for some new twists in the story but in the mean time, enjoying the drama none the less.
