” Degree degree hoti hai, asli ho ya jaali ho ” classic quote of Nawab Aslam Raisanni has been used so aptly by Amna Mufti :). I couldn’t stop laughing, the timing was perfect and it was blended so well in the conversation, it didn’t feel odd or forced. Wit and humor has been a very strong point of this drama since day 1 and I am so glad we are getting our regular dose of it every week :).
” Koun bhonka…kutta kahan hai ” was the response of a startled Farwa as Master Sahab kept on trying to win her sympathies with the next chapter of his tragic love story. He is claiming to help Farwa and Googi but at the same time, he keeps trying to win Farwa’s sympathies and maybe her affection too. At the same time, he claims to know about Surraiya’s whereabouts all along, so why not contact her and if he has no feelings for her, why keep track of her whereabouts ?
Master sahab had a chance encounter with Silky and it was she who gave him her address, then how did he knew about her address before that ? Anyways, he waited and thought about it and then after a lot of consideration he went to Surriya’s house. He was in no hurry, which also goes to show, he might have no feelings for Surriya anymore. He only went there to offer Silky a job. His decision did not make any sense to me, Silky herself is in need of a some much needed Tameez, how then is she gonna tutor Googi ?
Also Master Sahab might be playing double game with Googi and Farwa. Why hire a girl like Sily, who is in financial problems and is already desperately looking for a ” Prince charming ” . I hope her words weren’t prophetic when she was hoping for her prince to send his servant to her house and the next instant Master Sahab was ringing her door bell :). Master Sahab’s meeting with Surriya and Silky was very interesting. Surriya might have dumped him years ago in search of greener pastures but after her husband left her, she has been regretting her decision of dumping Mustansar and when fate brought them face to face again, she didn’t even try to hide her happiness at seeing him . She is clearly not over him and if he agrees, I am sure she would love to get back together with him .
The scenario keeps on changing and yet stays the same. If Surriya manages to convince Mustanser to give her a second chance, then obviously Farwa would be free to get married to Googi. In that case, I Would love for Silky to get married to Googi’s BFF :). I think they would make a cute couple.
Not much has changed on Saeed Sahab’s front. He is still obsessed with Aasma , despite of everything and now after meeting Mustansar, he is more interested in knowing what other mess has Farwa created, instead of trying to mend their relationship. Farwa might not be as academically qualified as her parents’ wished her to be but she certainly is not dumb either. Her parents did not think about a second before spreading the false news of her elopement but she knows only too well, how this news could have damaged her reputation in Mustansar ‘s eyes. This was something her parents should have taken into consideration. But week after week they are turning out to be the ideal case of bad parenting and more than Farwa, it is their attitude that is disappointing.
Googi’s performance is something I look forward to every week. He never fails to entertain, his entire persona, expressions and dialogue delivery in particular are enough to put a smile on the viewers’ face. The man holding the gun and threatening Mustansar with severe consequences flinches at the very thought of studying and getting back to books. I would love to see him stay just the way he is and yes.
As for performances, every one is doing a great job but Sonia Hussain, Adnan Jaffer and Googi are delivering one out class performance after another. However the girl playing Silky could tone down a bit, her character might be very over the top but still her dialogues are a little too loud for my taste. But all in all, it was a wonderful episode :)
