Hi everyone. I am covering for Fatima this week as she is busy. This is my first time writing a review and I don’t have a style of writing or sense of reviewing so forgive me if the review disappoints you.
The episode starts with Zoya picking out dresses for the wedding functions of her cousin Sarmad in Bahawalpur from Silla’s wardrobe. It was a nicely done scene imo. As the episode progresses further, we see the financial problems increasing day by day for Adeel and Silla. Adeel is still jobless and he blames the house for the bad luck, Zoya taunts him by saying that “waise raas toh main bhi nahi aayi aapko, toh kya aap mujhe bhi badal denge?”. After a long time we saw the caring side of Adeel, when he makes her sit next to him and tells her that he loves her and she knows that. I do not understand why Adeel is so conservative, he can let her work until he finds a job and I know Silla is sensible enough to quit as soon as he finds a job for himself. They don’t have any savings and Silla is no longer in touch with her stepmother. I think the one line that Silla says pretty much sums up the entire episode, “humare haalaat ko aapki zid ne bigaada hai”.

Soon Afaan is taken seriously ill and Silla quite obviously as a mother she is very concerned about him. She blames Adeel for not taking him to a good doctor for treatment and as usual Adeel has the same thing to say, I don’t have a job, no one’s lending me money because I know they are jobless, when he knows he is the sole breadwinner for the family, he should budge and let her wife work for time being. He is rude to Silla about this but he knows he is wrong, and uss par laanat hai ki woh apne bacche ke liye kuch nahi kar paa raha. As Afaan’s condition deteriorates, Adeel has no option but to go out and borrow money from acquaintances.
As he doesn’t return, Silla on her own takes Afaan to the hospital, I skipped a beat when she tripped on a stone. Sanam’s expressions as a young helpless mother were top notch. No sooner Ahmer arrives as a messiah and helps Silla take Afaan to a hospital for treatment. What’s baffling is, Silla doesn’t return home until night and Adeel does not even care? Yes I know she didn’t have a mobile phone , but she tried contacting him but his mobile phone was switched off. When she arrived home, he didn’t seem concerned that his wife and son have not been at home. Instead what caught his attention was an unknown man dropping off his wife and son home. The typical Indian-Pakistani men mentality, where were you? Who is he? Why were you in his car? etc etc. Adeel should be thankful that his son’s life was saved in time by the gentleman, but nope his ego comes in between. He wants Silla to pay off the money that Ahmer spent on Afaan’s treatment.
Adeel has found a temporary job for a fortnight but as we all know the money is just not enough. Silla offers Adeel to request for a job for him at Ahmer’s firm on his behalf but yet again his ego comes in between. Silla finally has landed a job in Ahmer’s firm and of course Adeel miyaan didn’t take it too well. In the preview for next week’s episode, we finally see the real roop of Zoya. She has started planting the seed of doubt in Silla and Adeel’s minds. It’s pretty clear that her eyes right from the start were on Adeel. But I have always wondered what is the source of their income? Her mother and her have enough money to attend a wedding and to wear pretty clothes and stuff. Ahmer sees Silla disturbs and asks her the reason for this. I hope he doesn’t turn into a villain in the upcoming episodes.
