Things got from bad to worse for Adeel and Silla in this episode. Call me superstitious but I blame Zoya’s mother’s buri nazar for all of Adeel and Silla’s misfortunes!! Adeel and Silla seemed to be barely coping financially already and to make matters worse Adeel gets mugged. This particular scene was very nicely done…I would know because I have been mugged once and no matter how many people are around you and how much you scream, no one even lifts a finger! Adeel seemed to be taking out all his frustration on Silla but she stood by him like a rock. I really felt for the poor girl because she had no one to turn to except Zoya.
Okay, so I think I finally see that Zoya is not that sincere a friend after all. Her advice to Silla that she should find work didn’t sound genuine at all. I get the feeling that she knew what Adeel’s reaction would be and she seemed to enjoy it when Silla told her that she could not share anything with Adeel now because he was too disturbed already. Silla seems to have complete faith in Zoya and would never doubt her for a second even. She is more than willing to leave her baby with Zoya.
After watching the promo for this episode last week, I really was waiting to find out what would happen to the baby and how it wouldeffect Adeel and Silla’s relationship but guess what that was another promo which was completely misleading. The promo for the next episode suggests that all that is going to happen in the upcoming episode and honestly speaking this latest promo was a little too detailed for my liking. I feel like I already know exactly what is going to happen in the next episode and that gives me less to look forward to. I am waiting to see though that how does Silla end up asking her boss-to-be for help because she just met him. Silla will start going to work and Zoya will be with the baby and Adeel will be home as well….that does not sound good. Was this what Zoya wanted all this time? We will know soon enough.
I never expected Adeel to be so conservative and egoistic; the way he told Silla off when she asked him if she could work was totally uncalled for. He obviously thinks that it is his duty to earn and not Silla’s but why can’t Silla work until he finds a job, I find nothing wrong with that. Zoya’s mother’s unnecessary involvement in what is happening in Adeel and Silla’s life was very annoying and I was surprised at her guts when she passed all those rude remarks.
This particular episode of Dil-e-Muzter wasn’t as engaging as the last two and I am honestly not looking forward to a story in which Silla turns to her boss for emotional support and Adeel turns to Zoya. At this point we really need an interesting sidetrack to keep the drama from getting dull.
The acting and direction remained spot on as usual so no complaints there but I would really like the promos to improve so that we actually know what we should be looking forward to. At times they are misleading and sometimes they are too detailed.
