This had to be one of my favorite episodes of Dil-e-Muzter till now, it passed like soft breeze and I did not want it to end. The ‘much awaited” tragedy was finally shown in this episode. I was really hoping that Silla’s father won’t die but I guess it was meant to be. The car scene in “Canada” seemed like something out of an animation and I was wondering why the scene couldn’t be shot in a house. Zoya’s presence has certainly made the story more interesting. For now Zoya is being a very good friend who has been there for Adeel and Silla through thick and thin for months now. She seems genuinely concerned for Silla and is there for her on her beck and call. I have absolutely no reason to doubt her intentions at the moment.
Adeel and Silla’s feelings for each other and their scenes together were most certainly the highlight of this episode. Sanam Jung and Imran Abbass have an amazing on-screen chemistry and they were both at their best today. Adeel went out of his way to make up for the way he treated Silla in the past and I really wanted things to stay that way for these two. The love between them is so pure and genuine and it has been shown beautifully. Sanam Jung was simply remarkable in the scene when she finds out about her father’s death; I couldn’t help feeling for her. Sanam emotes really well for someone who has just started acting, I am sure she will go a long way.
So Adeel was saving the money for Silla’s gift all this time, how sweet was that. The pendant must have cost a lot…just like Silla this was the first thought that crossed my mind! Silla’s character definitely seemed more real in today’s episode. Safina does not even bother informing Silla about her father’s death, although she knows that Zaman had forgiven her and wanted to get in touch with her.
There were a few things about today’s episode that seemed rather odd, although I decided to ignore them and enjoy the good bits but I am going to mention them nevertheless. I was wondering why Silla was being treated like a patient the whole time. Also I felt like Silla’s chacha called her a few months after her father died but he said that he just heard the news. Safina told the person she called to inform Sikandar bhai right away so that he could inform all the relatives but that was right after Silla goes to the doctor for the first time. If Silla is still using her old phone number, why couldn’t her father just call her? And if she is not then how did her chacha get in touch with her? Why wasn’t Adeel ready for an operation since one should always be ready for that when your wife is expecting no matter how well everything is going. The emergency factor seemed forced to me. Why was all that jewelry lying in the house? And where did it come from? These were just minor things which seemed out of place; otherwise I found Adeel and Silla extremely adorable and I was very willing to switch my brain off for the time when I was watching the episode but one can’t do the same while writing a review!
Overall this episode was quite happening and kept me glued to my TV screen. I am waiting to see how the story unfolds in the upcoming episodes.
