Some of the scenes that we were shown in the precap of the next episode last week were missing from today’s episode and it seems like they won’t be there in the upcoming episode as well, so I am wondering what went wrong because I was looking forward to finding out what happened to Sila’s father. Well, I guess we should stop looking forward to what we see in the promos.
Enough about promos, let’s talk about today’s episode. Sila is a very sweet girl, that is an established fact now but am I the only one who feels that she is too good to be true? No wonder Adeel’s friend, his wife and even the kids in the street think Sila is so perfect. Adeel tried everything in the book to make Sila’s life miserable but nothing seems to be working and even he admitted today that he almost felt like Sila was making fun of him by not reacting to his rude behavior the way any other girl would. We saw a very hesitant Adeel gradually realizing how much Sila had sacrificed for him and what a wonderful wife she was. I have to mention here that I actually had to ask my husband if men really talk about their wives the way Adeel and Sameer have been in this episode and the last one and to my surprise the answer was in positive! There were two scenes in this episode in particular which were so predictable. When Adeel asked Sila if she wanted something for herself and she replied that she didn’t and later on Sameer complaints about how much his wife shops…I could totally see that coming!! I am hoping that Adeel gets slightly more sensible and a little less emotional as his character develops in the upcoming episodes, so that he won’t be depending on others for making him see right from wrong. I found the way Adeel tried to put Sila off, in order to “punish” her, a little too overboard but later on when we found out that he actually was doing it on purpose and wasn’t really the “tough” guy he was pretending to be it definitely seemed more real and cute too. I really like that Sila has so much faith in her love for Adeel, she knows in her heart that she will win him over eventually or maybe she does not even care!! Maybe just being married to Adeel is good enough for her. There were quite a few scenes today that were very nicely shot but my favorite one was when Adeel smiles while having a conversation with Sameer and Nabila but instantly changes his expressions when Sila looks at him.
Safina really acted like a true step mother today, I really did not see that coming. It was very obvious that Zaman was regretting his decision and Safina could probably tell that if Sila shows up on their doorstep or tries to contact him, he may soften up. Safina only lied about the phone conversation so that Zaman would no longer be confused. What happened next was another development which was very predictable; Zaman going to his Lawyer to change his will. Safina is a very greedy person after all. I couldn’t help but wonder though that why can’t Zaman just forgive his daughter and move on with life!! Moving to Canada is too much trouble I would think!!
Adeel seems to be having a change of heart already; he decided to wear the shirt Sila gave him to the dinner. The way Sila “thanked” him by telling him how nice he looked was just adorable. When she said to him “buhat achay lug rahe hei ap”, it was more like saying “thank you for wearing the shirt I gave you”.
Overall, this episode had its good bits but I didn’t think it was as engaging as the past three episodes. We all know that Sila is the perfect girl who loves Adeel to bits; will Adeel fall in love with her already? :)
