I am somewhat disappointed with tonight’s episode for two reasons. Firstly because it seems like Dil-e-Muzter is going to be another one of those dramas in which the woman forgives her husband for mistreating her and even for marrying the woman she hated so much because he is the father of her child. Secondly, two scenes in today’s’ episode that should have been very intense completely fell flat; well they didn’t work for me at all. The first scene was the conversation that Ahmer and his father had and his father’s reaction to the conversation he had with Silla. Ahmer’s father’s reaction was very confusing; more like as if he had seen a ghost! I was left wondering probably like many other people out there that what was it that Silla said to him that was so shocking that he was so pale and confused. My guess is that Silla told him that she still loved Adeel deep down and could not divorce him – I could be very wrong of course. If it wasn’t this then his reaction would make no sense at all. The second scene that should have been very emotional and moving was the second last one – Adeel and Silla’s meeting, when they finally talk to one another after so many years. The timing, the acting and the dialogues as well were just not impressive enough. The scene came and went and I felt nothing for either of the characters. Maybe because it was the same old rhetoric and also because I don’t want it to end with “I am sorry for everything” and “It is okay we can move on now”!

I have no idea how the play is going to end but there is one thing for sure that this play definitely will teach many young couples out there that in any marriage communication is very important. As Adeel rightly points out in today’s episode that had Silla and Adeel talked about the issues they had and not let their egos get in the way, things would have been much different. This is so true, no matter what happens between a husband and wife sometimes a heart to heart conversation with your guards down can do miracles.

Adeel, finally admitted in today’s episode that getting married to Zoya was nothing more than a foolish mistake. But is it the kind of mistake that one can just forgive and forget? Affan misses a father figure in his life and we all know just how much Silla loves him that is why I have a feeling that she may just decide to go back to Adeel only for her son. Will she just leave her flourishing career and go live in that run down house with Adeel? Yes, she left everything for him once before too but things were very different then. I cannot believe that Silla remembers the part of Adeel’s conversation with Sami in which he told him how much he loved Silla but she has forgotten the bit in which he said that she was still very close to Ahmer , which basically means he does not trust her even now and blames her for moving away from him and closer to Ahmer. Even now, Adeel only accepts only one mistake which is that he married Zoya, other than that he thinks both of were equally responsible for whatever happened. I never for once heard him say that he never valued Silla and never gave her the respect and the place she deserved.

So, after watching this latest installment, how many of you want Silla to forgive Adeel? How many of you want her to marry Ahmer? Because it is very clear now that she will most certainly choose one of the two men.
