Five years later, Adeel seemed like a totally changed person. He definitely has a very soft corner for kids in particular now, Silla may not be a part of his life anymore but he has not been able to forget her; he looked like a man full of regrets and rightly so too. Zoya no longer has the patience she had once, she is constantly complaining and is not happy with her life at all. I have to say that Sarwat Gillani is just superb as Zoya, no matter how much one dislikes Zoya’s character but one cannot help but love Sarwat Gillani for putting her heart and soul into this character. Imran Abbass acted very well in some of the scenes as well today. The way his face softens when he looks at kids and when he meets Affan in particular said a great deal about how much he has changed in the past few years. Zoya and Adeel do not have children – this seemed like poetic justice. Zoya is obviously being punished for what she did to Silla’s baby and she knows it only too well.
Silla is surrounded by people who love her and has accomplished so much in life but Adeel still stands where he did so many years back. The way things have turned out for Adeel and Zoya was no surprise at all. This is exactly how I expected these two to end up. It was good to see a change in Zoya’s and Adeels’s appearance after all these years, looking at these two one could really tell that this really was five years later. All the make up and jewelry which Zoya couldn’t do without have vanished and Adeel looks like he has aged.
I have no idea why so much time was given to covering Silla’s birthday party – it was good to see that she was happy but otherwise it seemed totally unnecessary. Ahmer is a very genuine person who has never told Silla how he feels about her because he knows that she will not be comfortable working with him if he does. Silla has been there for Safina and their relationship seems to have gotten stronger too in all these years. Anyone out there who still has doubts about Safina?
The highlight of the episode of course was the last scene when Adeel finds out that Silla was her new boss. The expressions on Zoya’s face in particular were priceless. The preview for the next episode suggested that Zoya’s mother may actually advice her to use the situation to her advantage! I am waiting to find out how Adeel is going to tackle the situation; he most certainly is not in a position to leave the job. Looks like Adeel and Silla will be meeting more often now, which means that he will find out about his son too. Silla cannot deny him the right to see his son and spend time with him so it may be one of those situations where a mother compromises for her child – I really hope not though. I am waiting to find out where the story goes from here.
