I am not exactly sure how most of you would react to this week’s review, because it’s not going to be goody one. I will be honest, I was disappointed with this week’s episode, maybe it’s because of the high expectations that we have from this serial or may be the serial has raised a bar for itself. However I did not enjoy this week’s episode as much as I have enjoyed the last 3, specially the 3rd one. Not to take away few good scenes and dialogues, I would call this week’s episode just about okay.
What I really felt in this episode and may be some of you would agree that the story is moving at a snail’s pace. It was very slow. Unlike the last 3 in which the so many things were happening at a rapid speed. And to support my statement I can actually tell you what happened in this serial in one line.” The relationship between Hassan and bano strengthened more and saleem has asked suriya not to meet Hassan’s family because He is a congressman and he doesn’t like Hassan preaching Muslim league to his mother and sister” That’s really it. However I would want to praise Ahsun’s acting in this episode.
All of us have been talking about sanam and fawad and what sort of fireworks fawad brings on to the screen; however I think episode was about ahsun’s wonderful acting. It’s really hard to portray a negative character in any sort of medium, either TV or Big Screen however, Ahsun has matured with time, I think he is one of the most under rated actors of our industry.
There were at least 2 scenes which showcased the wonderful performance of this brilliant actor. The initial scenes between him and fawad and the last 10 minutes, when he talks to fawad in a stern voice, were the kind of scene that could only be accomplished by an actor of high caliber. The reason why I believe Ahsun has done justice to this role because of the fact that we hate his character. We can’t stop saying to our self that how could you do it? Why can’t you see the cruel intentions of congress as well the as evil tactics of Mahatma Gandhi (the most cunning and manipulative person on earth). I strongly believe that after dastan, there is no stopping for him.
Even though, I have been quite reserved in reviewing this week’s episode. I still remember the bestest scene and will just write the dialogues below
Bibi to Bano: Beta bhai koi chai bana doo
Hassan whisper’s to bano: bhai wai kuch nahi
