Needless to say that it was one good play again cause it only gets better right? From the boastful maamijan to the “not so optimistic Aasma” to the blameworthy Junaid to the sincere Zahra to the liberal parents. Well, that I guess is too much of a description for Daam’s characters rather than the story of the episode itself.
When I felt pride in the fact that Zahra’s house had paint peeling off the walls,Mehreen showed yet another display of beautiful direction. Zahra sweeping the floor, then the fact that there was no doorbell in her house presented in the latter part of the show and Zahra’s mum giving water to Junaid from a pot awed me again. Well, congratulations on the make-up for Maliha. She looks evil now.Eh.
I daresay, Aasma’s reaction was brilliant. She called a spade a spade in front of maamijan which was brave. Really loved the fact that she said people would have been better off with a 200 rupee note instead of a card worth the amount. This showed how important money is for the poor.
The sisterly affection that Zahra showed to Aasma when she confided in her about Jawed and his proposal deserves appreciation. Aasma in the face of all these troubles doesn’t know that she is escaping the frying pan and getting into the fire. She has to understand what Zahra’s trying to say. Please, it doesn’t need to get worse for her even when Nimra Bucha can act very well. Aasma fears the future in the same house but doesn’t realize that the world outside is even more brutal…
Maliha’s angry at the fact that Junaid didn’t tell her before. Glad that he realized, quite late though. The conversation that took place between them was awesome.Loved these lines, ought to quote them:busy hun(Maliha),pata hain phir bhi karni hai(Junaid)
I ought to commend that Fizza is very good at her job of filling Maliha’s years. What is surprising for me is that why can’t Maliha figure that out when she knows that Fiza is such a mischief maker. Why does she actually have to believe in what she says? That is exasperating. She’s not only losing a good friend but also the affection of her brother.
Zahra brings up the speeches for Maliha to take one from the two but Maliha’s reaction is rigid. Its evident that Maliha wants to break apart. On the other hand Zahra is literally “STRUGGLING” to maintain the relationship. Everybody in Maliha’s family is happy to welcome Zahra to their own family but Maliha liked her as a friend but cannot bring herself to take her for a bhaabhi. Why could that be? Dont you think she’s already being sister-in-law-ish? I always wondered why Zahra’s family is always fretful? Why they don’t seek divine help and this finally made part of the episode.Overwhelming!!!
Maliha is so bitter now. She conveniently forgot Zahra’s card. However, she ended up going to give it to her house with Junaid. Junaid reacted very well to everything around. He ended up feeling that Zahra was even more respectable than before. Who lost???
The time when they went to give the card made me very sad. I confess, however, that it was my mistake if I was dumb enough to believe that everything was to be all good again which was why they may have gone to her house(as in the OST). Anyone who shares in this???
Maliha still has a soft corner for Zahra as evidence suggests and she still cannot be quite as rude with her as she means to be which is a relief .
The next episode looks quite promising .Let’s see how it goes after Fizza breaks away from Jibran and Jamal reacts to Jawed’s proposal. The only distress that governs my mind is the fact that Junaid would end up with Fizza….(never happen please!!!)
Cheers!!!
