Besharam Episode 15-16

Finally when things were looking up for Mishal, she ruined her own chances with her mother in law. I get it she was trying to help Hamna but when Haider told her to keep out of this matter, she should have listened. Whether Hamna and Qadeer will end up together, no one knows at this point then why sabotage her other proposals. Hamna’ s crying and requesting Mishal for help was heartbreaking but still it did not justify the way Mishal handled the matter. Khadija had every right to be mad, her anger was justified.

One has to give the writer and director credit, they have balanced this story and every episode very well. As soon as you feel like tensions are high, they very aptly add humor or simple and kind gestures to balance things out. That scene in the kitchen where the whole family is sitting together was picture perfect, also the scenes between Mishe and Haider are always just so cute. Even if they are fighting and arguing, you can see the strong bond they share.

I loved the way the entire family joined together to calm Khadija down, apologized and tried to comfort her. It was good to see the mother enjoys that level of respect and affection. It was also nice to see Mishe apologizing to her saas and both of them making up :)

The one recurring and annoying thing is how the self righteous are always the first to point fingers at those whom they feel are immoral. If you don’t agree with someone’s lifestyle, the easiest and most sensible thing to do is part ways, if you can’t accept then tolerate but in our society, we simply have to trample upon other people’s self esteem to make ourselves feel worth while. The Rishtay k leyaya aanay wali Aunty did the same thing, she didn’t like Mishal, she could have made any excuse and leave but instead she choose to insult not only Mishal but also her entire inlaws family.

Haider is acting sensibly by trying to extend a friendly hand towards his mother in law. He knows Mishe is tired of her mother’s tantrums and it would do her good, if she could get some time away from her mother and also him spending time with Saira, might do them both some good.

Taya abba was trying to cheat Haider out of his rightful share but Karma intervened. His own daughter stole from him and even now both he and his wife are refusing to admit the obvious. Again the writer has done a fabulous job with this twist. Jis ki cheez jaati hai us ka imaan bhe jaata hai, Shakira was quick to point a finger at Haider, even though she should have started with her own servants. Haider was also right when he thought he was being tricked by his Taya abba. Now that Mishal knows the truth , it is only a matter of time when everyone will know what really happened and Taya abba’s secret will be made public. I am interested in knowing how the ” o so clever ” Saba will manage to escape and who will she put the blame on this time. If you look at the positive aspect of this entire scenario, it has forced Haider into becoming more practical. He has never been serious about finding a job and becoming financially independent but now things are different. He needs to support his family, the shop is gone and the promised money is nowhere to be seen , so he must do something to support his loved ones. That’s a plus.
