Episode 12 gave us more insight into Mishi’s life and her past. We are 12 episodes down and the story has progressed at a good pace but yet we are still getting to know more and more about the lead characters and it is making them all the more interesting.
Saira attempted to kill herself as a result of her final break up with Jamal. This wasn’t her first attempt at hurting herself, her daughters have been going through such situations in the past as well. Saira is a complicated character, who depends on others for her happiness and when things don’t go according to plan, she dosen’t know how to handle the situation. Mishe and Sofia have been taking care of their emotionally volatile mother for a long time and they also have a brother, Manal; who hasn’t been in the picture since the drama started.
Once again Haider stood by Mishe in her time of need. These two do have their fair share of arguments but when it counts, they are there for eachother. Saba Qamar and Zahid Ahmed share some amazing onscreen chemistry but it was the nook jhoonk, taanay and jawabi taanay between Saira and Haider that made me smile. This saas damaad joori, does share some fantastic chemistry. Once again Atiqa Odho was amazing as a mother who is hell bent upon destroying her own daughters’ marriage simply because she is convicted that her daughter has married beneath her. But as fate would have it, every time Mishal and Haider fight or face any misunderstanding, pretty soon they bounce back. Haider’s declaration of his ” Ishq ” might have been delivered as a joke or a taunt but I have a feeling deep down, that is the truth. They are in love but the circumstances and people around them are not giving them the time or opportunity to admit it.
Mahmood Akhtar sahab, aka Taya abba, is the typical example of a man who was running the show after his brother’s death but now that his nephew is grown up and has a mind of his own, Taya abba is holding a grudge against him. He wants to teach Haider a lesson for his arrogance/ independence. He is cheating Haider out of his share of the family shop, the only problem is he thinks he is very smart only Wahab suniyara will not only out smart him but will also ruin his business.
Wahaab might be a millionaire but it is no secret by now that he feels insecure in Haider’s presence. The way he kept trying to brainwash his own wife and was even willing to leave the hospital soon, did show his lack of confidence. He knows he is no longer the only male on whom these ladies are dependent upon. In his jealousy, bruised ego and with the backing and blessings of his saasu maa, he is on a mission to financially destroy Haider.
Saba is one stupid girl who has gotten herself in a big mess. Even after going through a terrifying experience she has not learnt her lesson. She still lives in the fantasy that she can become a top model like Mishal. That one call from Kabeer was enough to scare her out of her wits, now the only person she can turn t for help is Mishal. Still, despite of everything that has happened Saba is sticking to her lie and is refusing to come clean. Mishal on the other hand is a smart girl, thank God she gave Saba a reality check and told her to handle her own problems. Unfortunately Saba has not learnt anything from the blunder she committed earlier and now she believes if she pays off Kabeer, it will be the end of that.
You can’t help but feel for Hamna, the most innocent, sweet and harmless character in the entire drama. She is right when she refuses to marry anyone but Qadeer, they had been engaged since childhood, how can she not have feelings for him. Too bad, he didn’t take a stand for her, things would been different then.
So far the story is going strong and the best part is of course the fact that Haider and Mishal are somewhat in denial. They both won’t accept, they are in love. Let’s see how long will it take for both these egotistic people to accept it :)
