Slow but a very emotional and captivating episode. So much had happened in the last episode that I was extremely excited for this episode. However, it did not lead up to my expectations. I guess, more expectations do lead to more frustration. This episode was very slow but very emotional. The directing was on point. I could easily feel each person’s feelings as if I am inside of them.
It was sad and quite heartbreaking to see everyone accept Aunn leaving even though, deep inside they did not want their only man to leave their small house. If I was Husna or Dadi, I would take my chapel and give Aunn a taste of his own medicine. This man, needs a reality check. How on earth can he live on his own, when his family does everything to him. He is the baby of the house. If Zara could, Aunn would probably make Zara hand feed him all his meals. He’s that spoiled. Right now, his damaag, asmaan pay hai. He needs to come back to Planet Earth. He was the ronaq and the love of their lives. Even though, his family let him make such an impulsive decision, they still love and support him. It was depressing to see Dadi cry so much but she still kept her dignity and tried to h+
elp calm everyone’s emotions. She kept wanting to pookofy after she prayed and recited the Holy Quran. As for Husna, she still wanted to make sure Aunn got to eat his fresh cooked meal on time even though Aunn had moved. Even though, he was not in their house, his absence was largely felt by his family members. Even his Phubo Nighat.
At times, I feel as if she finds excuses to go meet Zara’s father, Jamshed. Their little bickering and quarrels are cute. It’s fun to see these middle aged couples flirt like young lovers and have no clue about how they truly feel for the other person. Nighat thought going to Jamshed would help bring Aunn and Zara back to their original home. However this lead to another misunderstanding, when she found out that Zara’s father had always wished his daughter lived in a separate home from the rest of Aunn’s family. This misunderstanding will just cause and lead to more cute arguments among Jamshed and his “mohtarma” and “katoon”. I found it extremely funny, how he put emphasized on these words when he was talking to Zara in her new home. As for Zara, I’m sure she still thinks her father has feelings for Nighat. But it’s time for the Nighat and Jamshed to mature a little and take the next step.
Luckily, the drama did not just revolve too much around Aunn leaving. I was glad there was some Manzar and Shehna drama. Shehna is a true loyal friend to Zara. She’s the type of friend which is hard to find these days. She cares for her best friend’s happiness more than her own and she is learning from Zara’s mistakes instead of following in her steps. Shehna is a very smart gal in my eyes. I was glad that Shehna rejected the Manzar’s proposal or else there would be no way the truth about Aunn’s evil scheme would be revealed to Zara.
Aunn is too selfish and self-centered to accept any mistakes he made publically. Even though, he realized that everything, he did was wrong especially being jealous of all the love Zara got from his family. He does not want to be known as the uloo da putha in front of all the women in his life. No matter how much insults Aunn gets from Manzar, he cannot bear to fall in front of Zara, his true love and his mother. He has gotten to the point where he can potentially harm Zara’s health. He has given her too much stress, that she might have a miscarriage. (Even though, the drama did not show any pregnancy signs for Zara, it’s pretty obvious, this will be shown in future episodes. Maybe the news or the arrival of the baby will fix the mess Aunn created?)
I’m sure next episode Zara will find out the truth of Aunn’s evil schemes from Shehna and take action. After all, she fixed all of Aunn’s previous issues, I’m sure she can fix this as well and become the favorite baho in Aunn’s family.
The most powerful scene of this drama was when Husna had a flashback of a conversation she had with Dadi when her husband left her. This scene was a great message to all woman that learn from. It took Husna lots of hardwork, scarification and pain to earn the respect she has in front of Dadi’s eyes today. A woman can easily break her home and make things worse but Husna took a different route to try to hold in all her emotions and continue supporting a family especially caring care of the son whose father did bewafa to her.
In my eyes, this drama is more than comedy, it teaches many lessons, such as family values, the consequences of jealousy and the love of the elderlies. It’s just how you learn from these lessons. This unique story of Aunn Zara is definitely a hit in my eyes.
Overall, I enjoyed this episode. I might have done as amazing as Sadaf, but I am willing to improve. Sadaf will be back in a couple weeks, and in the meantime, I shall be taking over. Do tell me your opinions and say on this episode and of course your favorite scene.
Enjoy!
Have a great and blessed week!
And Eid Mubarak! (=
