Alvida has again gained momentum and managed to attract its audience back to the Tv screens by the end of episode 9.With Fareesa getting married to Haadi and the unexpected return of Haya from her senseless adventure has actually made the play very interesting.
Upon her return, Haya is completely shocked to find Haadi married to Fareesa after few months of Aroosa’s demise. Feeling completely dejected, she goes to live with her father without informing Haadi, who upon knowing that refuses to comply with her decision, and forcefully brings her back on the pretext that her actual house is ‘ his’ house. Fareesa on the other hand is totally preoccupied with the newfound wealth and social status. She is least bothered about building a relationship with her husband. The very next day of her marriage, she is reprimanded by Haadi for wearing Aroosa’s clothes. She takes this insult as an excuse to go for shopping where accidently she comes across Saim in a restaurant. Though she tries to play the victim card in front of Saim, the latter however, remains completely unaffected and unconvinced by her lies.Saim attacks her integrity in a way that Fareesa comes back extremely infuriated and takes it all out on poor Haya. She wreaks havoc in the house upon seeing Haya cuddling Saadi. She attacks Haya’s character and forces her to return to her father’s place.
Haadi’s Parents are seen quite disturbed with all these negative developments and try to convince Haadi to treat Fareesa with love and respect. Haadi who is now pretty much aware of Fareesa’s real motives to marry him moves further away from her. He is bent upon re-establishing his lost friendship with Haya at all costs. Haya, despite being shattered has somewhat accepted her fate and has realized that she was running after an illusion.
For the first time, she seems attracted to Rameez and finds solace in his comforting words. Rameez is trying his level best to lure Haya into marrying him and apparently in the present circumstances he makes a perfect match for her. However, there is definitely a dark side to his personality which would be revealed in the coming episodes. The director has brilliantly hinted towards that through the book ‘the art of seduction’ which is seen lying on his bed while he is on phone with Haya.
Despite all the drama and confusion, every character makes sense. In my opinion, it is its spontaneity that makes Alvida unique. All the major characters have one thing in common i.e all of them are self-obsessed and seem to have lost their way ,but I am sure that everything will be sorted out in the end and they will eventually find their way out of this complicated maze of relationships. The transition in Haya’s character from a narcissistic girl to a mature and selfless woman is absolutely amazing. It is only when she went through the worst, she found her actual beautiful self. Sanam Jung has done a fabulous job as Haya. In fact all the actors have done a great job so far. Imran Abbas looks extremely adorable as confused Haadi. Sara Khan’s phenomenal performance as Fareesa cannot be ignored for sure. Zahid Ahmed with his deep and husky voice is a perfect choice for Rameez. For now, I am completely addicted to Alvida and anxiously waiting to see how the story unfolds in the future episodes.
