Fareeza succeeded in wreaking havoc in the family- uski toh adat hai barha charha kar bolnay Ki. Haya’s father and Khala accused Hadi of exploiting Haya- choti ko mohabbat me phasake Bari se shadi Karli! Hadi was extremely offended as were his parents and after much prodding by Uroosa, he admitted that he was clueless about Haya’s whereabouts. Haya’s departure has troubled everyone but Hadi feels responsible thus he’s venting out his frustrations with Uroosa. As a newly wed, Uroosa is caught up in this tangled mess through no fault if her own. I liked how Hadi’s father had a one-on-one with him and gave him much needed advice. There’s no reason for him to punish his bride for the situation. It’s refreshing to see a healthy environment where father and son share an honest relationship without seeming overly fake.
Haya has taken refuge at her friend Kokab’s house. Her husband, Faiz, is initially welcoming but when he finds out about Haya keeping her whereabouts a secret, he tries to reason with her. Haya reaches out to her Taya Abbu who promises to keep thus their little secret. While Kokab is a sweetheart, Faiz Ki neeyat mein Khot hai and seeing how Haya is vulnerable, he will be making his moves soon enough.
Uroosa tries to help Hadi find clues to where Haya may be but instead, she stumbles across pics of Hadi and a recording of a bedtime conversation where Hadi and Haya were talking about how they can’t sleep without talking to one another. For now, Uroosa seemed sure of her husband but I can’t help but wonder- when will this change? Or rather, will this change? Everyone seems to be pointing fingers at Hadi and it may be enough to convince Uroosa too.
Hum TV always delivers as far as production values are concerned and seeing a fresh, vibrant canvas is always a delight. The story is moving along at a steady pace and I like the choice of actors. I like how Saim sees through Fareeza’s act of concern- he calls her out for the fasaad Ki jarh that she is. I don’t know if Fareeza will continue to feature in every episode but for now, her role is essential as she continues to add the mirch masala required to keep things interesting.
Haya will be in cornered by Faiz in the next episode and I’d really like to see how she deals with it. She is a smart girl with a strong support system so hopefully she won’t allow such an incident to affect her negatively. Dramas can serve to convey powerful messages and this could be such an opportunity to showcase how a woman can stand up for herself. I like how the story isn’t overloaded with drama and I hope it stays that way.
